HOW TECHNOS SYSTEM WORKS IN A WATER-COOLED CHILLER
During the normal operation of the air-conditioning system, elastic sponge rubber cleaning balls are injected from the T®CS into the cooling water inlet of the condenser.
The cooling water carries the cleaning balls into the water box through the condenser tubes. Since the cleaning balls have a similar specific gravity as cooling water, a perfect distribution of cleaning balls at the tube sheet is ensured. By passing through the condenser tubes, the cleaning balls remove all contamination from the inner surface of the tubes, resulting in an optimal heat transfer coefficient.
The ball strainer, located in the condenser outlet pipe, separates the cleaning balls from the cooling water, while the ball re-circulation unit extracts the cleaning balls from the ball strainer and re-injects them into the condenser inlet by means of the ball pump.
To optimize the cleaning effect, the cleaning balls have to be slightly bigger than the inner diameter of the condenser tubes.
The entire system operates fully automatically.
